Belgium: Hoboken’s recycling activities attract royal attention
King Albert II of Belgium visited the Hoboken site on March 11th. He was guided around the plant by Thomas Leysen, Chairman of the Board, and Francis Vanbellen, Plant Manager. They had a lot to talk about as the previous visit of the then Prince Albert, was in 1955. Since then, the Hoboken plant has transformed itself from a refiner of concentrates into the world’s largest recycler of precious metals-containing materials. The king also took the time to speak to several staff members at a reception afterwards.
