Chinese employees organise Mini Olympics
In the year that the Olympic Games were organised in China, Umicore Greater China couldn’t rest on its laurels and organised its own Mini Olympics. On 20 September about 120 employees gathered in Nanjing for a day filled with competition and sportsmanship. The aim: to promote the Umicore values and foster work-life balance.
Throughout the day employees competed in four different disciplines: the 4x100 metre mixed relay race, bowling, basket shooting, and rope skipping.
The Mini Olympics games ended with a festive awards dinner that was enjoyed by all. The success of the winners was applauded and every competitor’s effort recognised, making this a day that will long be remembered by the participants.
