USA: Umicore Autocat is Company of the Year
Umicore Autocat USA in Auburn Hills, Michigan, was elected the “2008 Company of the Year” by the Auburn Hills Chamber of Commerce. This prestigious award was won against stiff competition from over 300 other member companies of the chamber, and was given because of Umicore’s increasing community presence over the last four years. In that time the company has supported local community actions that include golfing for charity, linking with the Auburn Hills Chamber to raise funds for good causes, helping hospitals, firefighters and more. Worth a special mention is ‘Junior Achievement', where Umicore has sponsored classroom initiatives for an entire local elementary school for the last three years.
