Corporate Governance
Umicore believes that a good corporate governance system is a necessary condition to ensure its long term success. This implies an effective decision-making process based on a clear allocation of responsibilities. It has to allow for an optimal balance between a culture of entrepreneurship at the level of its business units and a very effective steering and oversight process.
In this context Umicore has developed a Corporate Governance Charter in line with the recommendations of the Belgian Corporate Governance Code. The Corporate Governance Charter is the reference document which details all governance structures, procedures and policies in place at Umicore.
