Innovation Award
In 2008 Umicore will be making a series of internal Innovation Awards recognising outstanding achievements that bring tangible value to Umicore through a clearly innovative approach.
Innovation is the key for a sustainable successful company in the 21st century. Innovation projects are not the exclusive reserve of our colleagues in the research arena, but can and should be developed in all the functions of our company such as finance, sales administration, production process, IT systems….
Consequently, there will be three separate categories:
- Process Improvement Award
- New Business Development Award
- Science and technology Award
Participation in any of the Umicore Innovation Award categories is open to all of Umicore’s personnel provided they can demonstrate that they have made a substantial contribution to the success of the project and its innovative approach. The nominations may be made by, or on behalf of, either individuals who have worked on their own or by project teams which have made an outstanding innovative achievement in one of the categories.
The award nominations will be assessed by a jury comprising both internal and external persons.
