Recycling treats complex waste streams containing precious and other non-ferrous metals. The operations can recover some 20 precious and other non-ferrous metals from a wide range of input materials ranging from industrial residues to end-of-life materials. Recycling is unique in the range of materials it is able to recycle and the flexibility of its operations. Input materials – which are sourced from a truly global supply base - come predominantly from secondary sources.

Recycling comprises four business units:
Precious Metals Refining can recover precious and other non-ferrous metals from a wide range of complex industrial intermediate materials and from precious metals-bearing scrap from electronic and catalytic applications. It sources these materials from a truly global supply base. Precious Metals Refining is unique in the range of materials it is able to recycle and the flexibility of its operations.
The Precious Metals Management activity offers a range of services to internal and external customers including leasing, hedging and physical delivery of metals.
The Battery Recycling activity offers an eco-friendly and efficient process for the recycling of end-of-life rechargeable batteries.
Jewellery and Industrial Metals produces semi-finished precious metals-based products, for jewellery and industrial applications and is a major recycler of scrap and residues from the jewellery industry.
