What is Umicore's dividend policy

Umicore’s policy is to pay a stable or gradually increasing dividend – there is no fixed pay-out ratio.

In August 2010, the Board of Directors has decided to institute an interim dividend payment as an amendment to the company’s dividend policy. The interim dividend will correspond to half of the total dividend paid for the prior year and payment takes places in October. The dividend is proposed by the Board of Directors at the Ordinary General Meeting of shareholders. The payment of the difference between the interim dividend and the total dividend for the year commences following the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders which takes place on the last Wednesday of April each year.

No dividend will be paid which would endanger the financial stability of the company.
