Dividend information
Umicore's policy is to pay whenever possible an annual dividend that is steady or gradually increasing.
On 5 August 2010, the Board of Directors decided to institute an interim dividend payment. The interim dividend will correspond to half of the total dividend paid for the prior year. The difference between the interim dividend and the total dividend for the year (as proposed by the Board and subject to approval by the shareholders) will be paid out after the AGM.
On Tuesday 30 April 2013, the Ordinary General Meeting approved the payment of a gross dividend of EUR 1.00 per new share (ISIN BE0003884047). Taking into account the gross interim dividend of EUR 0.50 paid in September 2012, a balance gross amount of EUR 0.50, representing a dividend of EUR 0.375 net of withholding tax, will be paid as from 8 May 2013.
For each tenth of old shares (ISIN BE0003628039) still in circulation, the gross dividend per tenth of old share amounts to EUR 0.25, on presentation of coupon no 25.

On December 1, 1994, the AFV1 and AFV2 shares were converted into VVPR shares. AFV1 and AFV2 shares were issued in exchange for MHO AFV shares and Vieille-Montagne AFV shares, respectively.

- On March 26, 1999, the VVPR shares became ordinary shares following the issue of VVPR strips against presentation of coupon No. 5 attached to the VVPR shares. Coupon No. 5 attached to the ordinary shares was declared void. Consequently, no dividend was paid against presentation of coupon No. 5.
- On November 7, 2003, the Board of Directors decided to increase the capital of the company by the issuance of up to 2,400,000 new shares with VVPR strips (= Priority Tranche). Additionally, the Board decided to grand to the Joint Global Coordinators and Bookrunners an Over-allotment to subscribe for up to 400,000 new additional shares with VVPR strips (= Free Tranche). The right to subscribe to the Priority Tranche was represented by coupon No. 11. This coupon was declared null and void at the end of the bookbuilding and subscription period. - On April 28, 2005, Umicore was partially split into Umicore and Cumerio (a new company, also quoted at Euronext stock exchange). 1 coupon 14 attached to the Umicore share gives the right to 1 share of Cumerio. |

On February 29, 2008, the ordinary shares and the VVPR shares were splited by 5. The dividend between brackets is the restated figure for the stock split in order to facilitate the comparaison with the dividend from 2007.
