Glens Falls, NY, USA: Helping a family in need
Umicore Technical Materials in Glens Falls, USA, adopted a local family during the Christmas holidays in cooperation with Family Service Association, who looks after families in need. The family consisted of 2 adults and 3 children aged 8, 13, and 15 and, with the generous donations employees made, it provided clothing and toys for the 3 children, a holiday meal and $100 food gift card for the family.
With the amount collected, they were even able to make an extra donation to the local Salvation Army which also assists people in need.
