Hot ‘n’ spicy charity event
Nibbling food for charity. Sounds good? That’s exactly what Automotive Catalysts in Auburn Hills, USA, thought. During lunch break a chili-tasting contest was hosted on Umicore premises in support of the non-profit organization Michigan Humane Society. Employees, contractors and students could submit their chili dish in the categories ‘spiciest’ or ‘tastiest’. For a small donation, attendees could taste and vote for their favourite dishes. At the end of the lunch break the Michigan Humane Society earned over 200 USD to provide animal welfare and sheltering services for homeless animals.
