What you will be doing
A. Financial Accounting
Overseeing day-to-day accounting activities to ensure accuracy in sub ledger and general ledger postings.
Overseeing accounts payable function, including the supervision of month close and reporting activities related to Accounts Payable.
Review and approval of weekly payment runs for local and foreign vendors and statutory payments.
B. Month Close and Reporting
Review of intercompany transactions and perform monthly balance reconciliations.
Management of month close checklist.
Data upload from SAP to COGNOS and ensure data integrity.
COGNOS Reporting.
Non-metal reporting - Reconciliation of result between SAP financial and cost module, analysis of product wise and customer wise margins, validation of substrate and coating cost.
Lead preparation of monthly MIS and performance reports.
Preparation of quarterly forecasts and complete COGNOS upload.
C Inventory controlling and cost accounting
Review and validation of non PM inventory valuation.
Manage processes relating to physical verification of inventory.
Review of SAP product master data.
Production order analysis.
D. Local Statutory Books, Financial Statements and Statutory Audit
Preparation of Local GAAP books in line with local statutory requirement.
Prepare financial statements under Indian GAAP while ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and statutory filing deadlines.
Management of the statutory audit process to ensure timely completion of audit report.
Identification, analysis and reconciliation of differences in accounting treatment under UFRS and Indian GAAP.
E. Internal Control
Monthly review of GL account reconciliations to ensure the correctness of balances and follow up for unreconciled items.
Monthly Review and sign-off of journal entries.
Co-ordinate for Internal Audits and MICR F. Fixed Assets Reporting and Accounting
Assist in preparation of annual Capex Plan and quarterly forecasts.
Who we are looking for
Education: Chartered Accountant Proficiency in English
Experience: 1-2 years of post-qualification experience in a multi-cultural multinational organization.
