What you will be doing


The regional team member will be an expert in his/her domain, SAP Inventory Management and Warehouse Management, from a functional & configuration point of view. 

Within his/her area of responsibilities, the regional team member will keep the APAC Head of Business Applications and whenever needed the Group Business Applications Director informed about his/her activities.

The main responsibilities are split in three major areas:

SAP Implementation & Enhancement Projects in Umicore subsidiaries in the different APAC countries 

  • Analyze the as-is processes of the company
  • Draw the attention of management on the organizational impact resulting from the implementation
  • Propose and facilitate organizational changes if appropriate and needed
  • Act as template keeper during projects: protect and enforce the template and contribute to template development based on gained experience from roll out projects
  • Help key users migrate the old data to the new system
  • Ensure common rules and data are respected
  • Propose and develop, where necessary, solutions to gaps
  • Transfer to the key users the necessary knowledge to use the application in a correct manner
  • Help the key users to test the system and to realize system acceptance
  • Assist the Key users with writing the necessary documentation
  • Implement and monitor the authorizations in the system so that sensitive and critical data/processes are protected.
  • Keep the project manager(s) informed about project progress and issues

Optimize the system used in subsidiaries in the different countries of the Asia region running the SAP application, and help the subsidiaries to use the application in a more efficient way

  • Analyze and identify improvement & best practice areas within the organization (process, department, branch) within the region
  • Organize post implementation reviews and training sessions within the region
  • Implement additional functionalities (optimization and retrofitting)
  • Stimulate continuous improvement through benchmarking

Within his/her domain/competence, SAP Inventory Management and Warehouse Management, support from a functional & configuration point of view the SAP application in the different countries of the region

  • Follow up and resolve support cases, logged via our support portal 
  • Assist and support Key/End Users in their daily job
  • Write functional specifications for new approved Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms and Workflow (RICEFWs)
  • Keep customizing documentation up-to-date
  • Write test scenarios (e.g. Key User Training, User Acceptance Test, local legal requirements…)
  • Be involved in SAP upgrades (S4 HANA)
  • Perform functional testing
  • Provide support to the roll-out teams when needed.

Who we are looking for

Education:

  • Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent by experience in IT technology.    
  • Native profile (Chinese)

Technical skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of the following SAP Production Planning and Quality Management (functional and technical side), Microsoft office.  
  • 8 years of experience or above, with at least 5 proven project life cycles. 
  • Working experience as external consultant and internal consultant.
  • Knowledge of Asian localizations is an asset.

Language skills

  • Excellent command and fluency in English.
  • Cantonese is a plus.
