What you will be doing

Supervise the lab team related analysis work of personnel engaged in performing routine and specialized technical procedures, including planning work, evaluating work performed and handling procedural and technical problems and evaluating test results.

Develop and implement quality control programs to ensure reliability of testing procedures and test results, proper function of laboratory equipment; prepare and maintain applicable records.

Monitor and report the abnormality through the analysis of test results and work together with related departments for troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

Prepare technical reports reflecting volume of work, procedures utilized and test results.

Design appropriate work schedules for subordinate employees and plans daily work assignments in order to maintain an adequate personnel complement for laboratory efficiency.

Monitor Quality Control, Safety and Inspection Control practices to assure compliance with internal and external requirements.

Maintain sufficient inventory of material supplies and equipment for performance of duties.

Provide advanced problem solving, troubleshooting, interpretation/consultation, verification of specimen quality and test results.

Continuously train lab staff on dry analysis to meet laboratory requirements.

Regularly evaluate capacity of instrument and manpower, ensure adequate resource.

Who we are looking for

•     University degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or closely related physical sciences

•     5+ years related experience in chemical laboratory

•     Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience preferred

•     Considerable knowledge of laboratory equipment, instrumentation and terminology

•     Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

•     Good organizational skills and time management skills

•     Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

•     Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

•     Fluent in both Chinese and English
