What you will be doing

You will support Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) projects and develop programmes supporting the implementation of the Net Zero Greenhouse Gas objective!

Your detailed responsibilities:

  • Challenge and assist the business units to further develop and timely work towards their goals regarding Net Zero GHG and related aspects:
    • Manage the collection of sustainability performance data at BU or site in time for the reporting periods. Examples are data collection related to raw materials; data on clean mobility and recycling revenues; data on recycled content and data related to Greenhouse Gas emissions.
    • Generate factsheets for BU’s.
    • Perform regular sustainability benchmarking of peers and other stakeholders and analyse the performance of sustainability indicators and identify areas for improvement in terms of indicators, process and/or guidance.
  • Contribute to operational excellence in execution of Net Zero GHG strategy
    • Support internal collaborators for the development of data collection platform by providing clear insight of the important parameters to be taken into account for the different indicators.
  • Support the centre of excellence and execution of Life Cycle Analysis
    • Serve as a support and “trainer” for the BU on data collection in LCA
    • Carry out data quality check of the inventory data from the BU
  • Support the integration of LCA in developmental & commercial work
    • Think with the BU/R&D environment on how to integrate LCA into the different development phases of a product or process, including measurement of different parameters
    • Train commercial teams how to integrate results of LCA in their commercial presentations

Who we are looking for

An analytical colleague with:

  • A Master degree in sciences such as chemistry or environmental technology;
  • A minimum experience of 3 years with scientific/technical work in an industrial context;
  • An ability to understand complex technical matters and make decisions on adequate technical expertise;
  • Experience with the execution of life cycle assessments and methodologies;
  • The ability to work in a multicultural environment.
