Can you describe your role at Umicore?
As a Global Sales Planner, I am the principal point of contact between global sales and the operational teams. In this context, I balance sales forecasts and production capabilities in close contact with all stakeholders.
What do you enjoy about your job?
RBM is a rapidly growing business unit within the Umicore group, active in a very dynamic and global industry. I really enjoy the constant challenge and interaction with the international colleagues, aiming to optimize RBM’s global sales and operations planning.

Why did you want to join Umicore?
I wanted to kick off my career at a thriving multinational with a future-oriented business. Umicore is a global group that focuses on materials technology and recycling. It very much felt as the right choice for me.
What are you looking forward to when you leave for work in the morning?
Every day is different, depending on the ongoing sales and operational challenges. In other words, I always learn something new, which is what I look forward to every morning.
What has been your highlight so far in your role at Umicore?
In the first year of my Young Graduate-program at Purchasing & Transportation (P&T), I took full ownership of a scanning project for spare parts in the warehouses located in Hoboken and Olen. Both internal customers and the warehouse workers were very enthusiastic about it and I took pride in successfully finishing that project.
