What you will be doing

Under the guidance & coaching of the other members of the digitalization team, the young graduate will develop himself in three main areas:

OSIsoft Pi

  • Develop general knowledge on Pi
  • Develop knowledge on the foundational elements within Pi (Pi vision, Pi Asset Framework, Pi DataLink)
  • Support BUs with setting up a roadmap in terms of foundations & use cases 
  • Support the BUs with the implementation of use cases 
  • Provide local training on use cases on the shopfloor
  • Participate in the community and present features and use cases 
  • Support overall program management on Pi


  • Develop general knowledge on TrendMiner
  • Develop knowledge on foundational elements within TrendMiner 
  • Support BUs with setting up a roadmap in terms of foundations & use cases
  • Support the BUs with working on use cases and document use cases for tracking & sharing purposes
  • Provide support & training where needed 
  • Participate in the community and present features and use cases 
  • Support overall program management on TrendMiner

Develop general digital skills & knowledge

  • Follow-up on the digital evolutions in China/ Asia
  • Get familiar with other digital technologies and what they can offer Umicore
  • Get familiar with the different ways on how to build a digitalization roadmap
  • Understand the Umicore organization and develop a network within Umicore
  • Identify advanced analytics use cases for sites where he is active

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent by experience in Economics/ digitalization / Computer Science.  
  • Data analytics skills 
  • OSIsoft Pi skills
  • TrendMiner skills
  • Excellent command and fluency in English.
