Team Players

Formula Student Netherlands

In 1981, the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) in the USA began the "Formula SAE®" competition, in which around 140 student teams from all over the world compete every year. It is a fantastic competition for automotive engineering students, where they exchange technical knowledge and develop values of respect, teamwork and effort in a multi-cultural atmosphere. The competition challenges the teams to go the extra mile in their education building and manufacturing a race car that must comply with specific rules.

Formula Student Germany

Students build a single seat formula racecar with which they can compete against teams from all over the world. The competition is not won solely by the team with the fastest car, but rather by the team with the best overall package of construction, performance, and financial and sales planning.

Formula Student Spain

Formula Student Spain is organised by the Spanish Society of Automotive Engineers. The first FSS took place in 2010, with 11 teams participating - since then it has expanded each year, reaching 61 teams in 2017.

In 2014 the UAntwerp Solar Boat Team won a trophy at the Ecorace Challenge, an initiative of the Flemish government to stimulate alternative propulsion technologies for inland navigation. This year they will compete again! Stay tuned. #ecoracechallenge
