What you will be doing

As Global HR Operational Excellence Lead, you facilitate, drive and lead practices around operational excellence and process improvement within HR towards a global consistent way of working. You do this in a customer oriented way to support reaching Umicore’s goals of RISE 2030 and “Go For Zero.”

Your contribution within the team:

  • You proactively and systematically implement operational excellence practices toward improvement of processes to better meet the strategic and operational objectives.
  • You organize and facilitate process harmonization and standardization efforts. You measure and evaluate data and monitor the results of your actions closely. You drive transformation within the HR processes in HR Operations and beyond.
  • You act as a project manager for global or local HR projects and keep overview on all ongoing topics. You interact with business partners, users and management to ensure ongoing high quality service provision focused on good customer experience
  • You work closely together with HR centers of expertise (payroll, comp and ben, recruitment talent) and IT to ensure alignment through strong cooperation and communication.

 

Who we are looking for

  • You combine a higher degree with at least 5 years of experience in process improvement methodology (Six Sigma, Lean, TQM, etc.) within an multinational HR environment.
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and can drive transformation. You have strong organizational skills and have project management methodology expertise (Prince2, PMP)
  •  You are experienced in directing and strengthening global HR processes and procedures.
  • You feel comfortable in an international (remote) team and creates collaboration across regions. You are a strong communicator who influences and build trust based relationships.
  • You possess a strong analytical, critical and conceptual thinking style. You think on a strategic level but have project management skills to implement strategy into practice as well.
  • You are able to roll up your sleeves an get into the details and walk the talk by doing
  • You have excellent knowledge of English.
