These materials enable our customers to make fine jewellery, coins, high-purity glass and industrial catalysts. What you will be doing

Inbound calls for US and MKM overflow, coverage for orders, refining, inquiries, complaints, purchasing of supplies, processing CARS.

Processing of ordering including picking and packaging for US markets, shipping and receiving of materials for product and refining.

Assist Sales Manager and team members with quotes, reports, trade shows, marketing research and any other initiatives to assist in sales growth. Able to help with marketing & brand awareness.

Participate in design and execution of promotional activities to include product promotions, mailers, advertising, e-blasts etc.

Completing reports on sales KPI, activities, performance and ad hoc reporting.

Effectively use computer resources available for pricing, quoting, order entry, order conversion and tracking customer inquiries/complaints.

Documentation for exporting to Canada for shipping and handling of materials. Scheduling of deliveries.

Fully versed in Web portal (online ordering) to support testing, customer inquiries and troubleshooting and other initiatives.

Calculate credit notes and miscellaneous invoices as required. Invoicing is done on a daily basis.

Full knowledge of SAP to ensure accuracy of information on sales orders, quotes, customer information. Maintain SAP product and refining pricing.

Making outbound calls to potential and inactive customers when needed – introducing new products and services to customers.

Keeping up to date knowledge and participate in training seminars when needed.

Able to work with Production and Sales Teams to provide support when needed.

Other duties as required.

 

Who we are looking for

The primary focus of the customer service/sales department will include adopting a “one face approach” to the customer and being able to fully handle all customer inquiries and continue to provide the same level of customer service that our manufactured customers expect.  It is expected that the customer service inside sales department will be fully trained and using SAP as a tool to track and maintain records for our current and potential customers to help enable our sales, marketing, and technical departments.

Understanding our customer’s needs and translating that into products or services that they can use while adhering to corporate policies and increasing profitability.  Handling objections and calming difficult customers and situations using soft skills.

The incumbent interfaces with:  Customers (existing & potential), branch staff, shipping department, refining department, finance department, production manager and department heads.

Problem Solving Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Can effectively communicate ideas and explanations regarding the products and services that we offer.

Organizational skills & Analytical skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Computer literacy with advanced knowledge of SAP, excel and or Oracle and Windows operating system programs. Proficient in Adobe.

Strong focus on efficiency and attention to detail are critical skills as product sold is high value.

College preferred, however, does require a high school diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years of experience in the field or related area.  Strong math skills are required.
