Umicore is looking for 2 Young Graduates for following positions
- Junior Security Manager starting in Legal Department (Brussels) and moving to Precious Metals Recycling (Hoboken) in the 2nd year
Security and access control is a joint concern and responsibility of all Umicore sites and Legal Department. In this role you will assist in mapping all locally used Access Control Systems, describe their actual technical status, policies and procedures applied and the procedures used to implement an efficient control to mitigate all risks linked to unauthorized access. You will work on a plan/instructions to upgrade the security at the perimeter of our plants, when a high risk alert is announced by using the access control system.
- Junior project leader for the “POP” project or Procure-to-Pay Optimisation Project, (Brussels) – next project to be defined in 2018
This is a cross-divisional initiative. It brings together people from the Purchasing &Transportation and Accounting organisations to look for ways to bring our procure-to-pay flows to the next level by identifying ways to optimise the entire end-to-end process (rather than applying a pure divisional focus). In short, procure-to-pay flows cover the process of ordering, receiving and paying goods & services from third party suppliers. In scope are all procure-to-pay back office processes related to procurement activities in Belgium, Germany and Sofia. Based on valuable input from all parties concerned, opportunities for improvement have been defined and need to be translated into concrete initiatives that will allow us to further increase the service to our internal customers and facilitate the day-to-day work of the relevant colleagues.
You have a Master degree (graduated in 2017) in economics, commercial engineering or engineering, and a keen interest for security and resp. Business/Economics, Accounting & Purchasing processes and systems. You are fluent in Dutch and English, knowledge of any other language is a plus. You like to work in project context, have good analytical skills, a strong team spirit and an open, communication style. You are result oriented, committed and like to take initiative
