Hoboken expansion
Hoboken’s 17-metal solution
The rising demand for speciality and precious metals and their growing scarcity is one of the world’s most pressing problems. Add to this the need to process growing volumes of increasingly complex, metal-containing industrial residues and e-scrap.
Umicore is helping to meet this challenge by investing €100 million in expanding capacity by 40% at its refining and recycling plant in Hoboken, Belgium – the largest and most sophisticated of its kind. Thanks to our focus on complex materials we can recover 17 valuable metals in an environmentally sound way. Find out more in this short animation.
