What you will be doing

  • Develop and implement QEHS and security management systems for the whole entity. Develop and implement effective QEHS risk and hazard management methods, designs, procedures, and programs.
  • Organize, evaluation and distribute suitable environment law, regulation and other request& information. Ensure compliance with current, emerging, and changing local EHS regulations, and align with group EHS Policies and Management System.
  • Ensure all EHS permits and certification are in place and updated.
  • Maintain meaningful, solid contact and relationship with governmental EHS departments.
  • Lead and coordinate Quality, Environmental, Health, Safety and Security improvement plans to achieve sustainable QEHS excellence.
  • Lead communication regarding safety incidents, safety topics and regulatory changes to site operational (lab) team through face-to-face discussion, formal training and safety meeting.
  • Review all site safety procedure and execute audits to identify irregularities ensure that we are in compliance with the procedures; takes corrective action if necessary.
  • Lead incident investigations, implementation of the corrective action in coordination with management.
  • Develop and lead safety promotion programs to raise safety awareness.
  • Support ISO14001 audit and lead all departments to manage related EHS procedure, work instruction update.
  • Develop and coordinate the removal plan for our lab waste streams, complying with local legislation and Umicores policies.
  • Support evaluation that proper PPE is available for employees and these are well maintained.
  • Communicate with Global CRD manager regarding QEHS aspect i.e. monthly report, yearly report, and workshop.
  • Responsible for whole entity security management like procedure update. Evaluate the system regularly and improve the security level continuously.
  • Other work assigned by supervisor.

 

Who we are looking for

Functional Requirements

  • This position requires a University degree in Chemical, Chemical Engineering, or engineering background.
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience in chemical industry
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
  • Fluent in both Chinese and English

 

Personal skills

          Proven communication, planning, organization, as well as problem solving and analytical skills. Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
