About Battery Recycling Solutions (BRS)
We extract critical and valuable materials from end-of-life batteries or production scrap as efficiently as possible and reintroduce them in the battery materials supply chain. What you will be doing
As Regulatory Compliance Manager you are responsible for ensuring compliance with chemical, transport and ESG regulations for BRS within Europe!
Your detailed responsibilities :

  • On the domain of Chemical Compliance
    • You determine the strategy, prepare, submit and handle the needed Material Declarations in collaboration with different internal stakeholders to support BRS activities throughout the battery value chain.
    • You develop and implement a strategy roadmap for REACH, including the vital milestones to become compliant for future BRS activities
    • You support Commercial team with compliance strategy/options
  • ESG Compliance
    • As the designated business unit liaison for ESG matters handled at the corporate level, you coordinate, communicate and implement ESG strategies, policies, and initiatives within BRS, ensuring alignment with corporate ESG objectives, and facilitating compliance with relevant regulations and standards such as EU taxonomy, CSRD, Due Diligence,…
  • SDS & Masterdata
    • Help shape the regulatory masterdata landscape in SAP and related systems to make BRS future proof
    • Launch and follow-up the creation of Safety Data Sheets and labels in close collaboration with the Corporate EHS team
  • Waste Transport Compliance
    • Lead the development of the new Waste Shipment Tool
    • Become the BRS authority and focal point for waste shipment
    • Waste Classification
    • Communication and negotiation with relevant competent authorities
    • Coordinate internal and external workshops on waste shipment
    • Act as key enabler for commercial and S&VC ongoing activities
  • External governmental authorities : you are involved in the relationship with local competent authorities such as OVAM, RP Darmstadt, DREAL,…

 

Who we are looking for

  • You acquired a Master degree in relevant field (such as chemistry, environmental science, engineering, legal, …) or equivalent by experience
  • You have some proven experience in an industrial environment, preferable with exposure to environmental and/or regulatory compliance
  • Experienced or eager to learn relevant regulations (REACH, Waste, Transport, ESG,…)
  • Having SAP experience is a plus
  • You have an analytical mindset with good problem solving skills and decision making mindset
  • You are a great teammate with strong interpersonal relations and good communication skills
  • Easy and open communication both with internal as well as external partners to interact well at all levels of the organization and to build networks
  • You are proficient in English; proficiency in Dutch is also a plus
