Umicore Autocat India, located in Shirwal, plays a crucial role in the automotive industry, focusing on the production and commercialization of advanced catalyst technologies. Our commitment is to innovation and excellence in meeting the demands of our customers and the environment.

 

Your Role:

 

As a Sales Manager, you will lead the business development and commercial sales activities for automotive catalysts and manage projects for OEMs in India. You will also be responsible for ensuring audit compliances for the overall Sales and Marketing team.

You will report to: Senior Sales Manager.

 

Key Responsibility Areas:

 

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of Umicore’s products, recycling opportunities, and the PGM supply chain.
  • Monitor competitor activities and regulatory changes to proactively adapt to market dynamics.
  • Acquire new customers, increase business share, and ensure Umicore's presence on panels for new platforms.
  • Manage legal agreements, bid submissions, and negotiations, maintaining control over accounts receivables and commercial elements with customers as per targets.
  • Generate market insights and intelligence, reporting periodically to management.
  • Coordinate with product management and global sales teams to align technology offerings with customer requests and value engineering projects.
  • Support financial modeling for bids and participate in PGM reconciliation and forecast sanitization.

 

Your Profile:

 

  • Engineering degree (Chemical/Mechanical preferred) plus MBA, or an Engineering degree with extensive sales experience.
  • At least 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, fluency in English and Hindi; knowledge of a foreign language is preferred.
  • Proactive, open-minded, and a strong team player with a hands-on, flexible approach to problem-solving.
  • Techno-commercial acumen with the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
