What you will be doing 
As Regional P&O Operations Analyst you will be facilitating the continuity of payroll processing for assigned business units, be part of actively engaging with the PO Operations team in supporting the growth of Rise 2030 as we harmonize and standardize processes for efficiency and drive PO Operations towards a global consistent way of working. 

 

Your contribution within the team will include:

Managing and processing the bi-weekly payroll and year-end process ensuring compliance with government regulations
Ensuring group benefits, pension and RSP are properly recorded in the payroll system
Assisting  in evaluation of reports and recommend new approaches and procedures to effect continuous improvements in efficiency 
Maintaining employee data in HRIS and payroll systems by recording and processing employee changes 
Working closely with US payroll team to ensure accuracy of information related to US employees of the assigned business unit
Managing the vendor relationship with the payroll provider, monitoring their process and service delivery towards program efficacy
Providing requested information related to accounting reconciliations 
Supporting HR Cares service delivery by receiving questions and requests coming from employees and managers via various formats into the case management tool (calls, in person, chat, emails, via portal, etc).
Be an integral team member in supporting PO Operational processes and service delivery by ensuring processes are documented, work instructions are in place and updated regularly

Who we are looking for 
You combine a higher degree with at least 4 years of experience with payroll and benefits
You have extensive knowledge of Canadian benefit programs including health insurance, disability insurance, worker's compensation insurance life insurance and pension plans
You have strong knowledge of Ceridian Power Pay and Day Force payroll platforms
You are knowledgeable of the federal and provincial legislation related to pay
You have strong excel skills and are experienced working with Microsoft Suite tools
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
You are very detail oriented and comfortable working with strict deadlines
