What you will be doing

The Logistics Coordinator supports operational activities by maintaining non-PM raw material supply, packaging product according to DOT and customer requirements, coordinating with vendors and truck companies, freight forwarders, and performing the required documentation in compliance with government, transportation, and export laws.

  • Responsible to process and assure accuracy of all paperwork for shipments: bill of lading, packing list, proforma invoice and customer specific requirements for labeling and packaging.
  • Coordinate with logistics companies and assure compliance: including DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations, GHS, export laws, and environmental standards, hazardous materials guidelines.
  • Assure activities are met on time, trucks loaded, and safety of employees for all dock activities.
  • Coordinate trash collection for the site; special waste, and plastic and cardboard recycle. Assists in the shipping of materials designated for reclaim and the shipment of waste streams.
  • Perform raw material inventory (product containers, packaging materials, and non-PM chemicals), and reorder at appropriate trigger points. Maintain material inventory. Ensure material consumption reflects reality in the ERP system.
  • Verify raw material meets product specifications and assists in quality investigations when required. Maintain certificate of analysis (CoA) database.
  • Provide other manufacturing support activities as directed by the Production manager.

Who we are looking for

Experience & Education

  • High school, GED or Associate degree preferred
  • Minimum two years supply chain and logistics experience

Technical Skills

  • Forklift License
  • HAZMAT/DOT training and proficiency (HAZWOPER)
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts preforming unit conversions
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software (SAP is preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with customers, suppliers and all levels of the organization written and verbally
  • Ability to resolve problems: including identify, analyze, and recommend solutions
  • Works well in group and individually
  • Lift up to 50 lbs
