Umicore announces a change to its Management Board

Umicore announces that An Steegen, Chief Technology Officer and member of the Management Board, will leave the company on 30 September 2021 to become co-CEO of Barco, a technology company listed in Belgium. The succession of An Steegen will be announced at a later date. 

Umicore’s CEO Marc Grynberg said : “An has been a key contributor to our Management Board since she joined the company in 2018 and I would like to thank her for her contribution and engagement. She has helped us shape our technology and sustainability roadmaps and position Umicore well for mid- and long-term developments. While I regret to see An leave, I am sure that she will also thrive in her new role and I wish her every success.” 

An Steegen commented: “I am very grateful for the wonderful journey at Umicore, for all the great people I have worked with and for what we have accomplished together. The decision to leave Umicore has not been easy and I would like to thank Marc, the Management Board and the Supervisory Board for their trust and support in the past 3 years.” 

Umicore annonce un changement au sein du Conseil de direction

Umicore annonce qu'An Steegen, Chief Technology Officer et membre du Conseil de direction, quittera la société le 30 septembre 2021 pour devenir co-CEO de Barco, une société technologique belge cotée. La succession d’An Steegen sera annoncée à une date ultérieure. 

Marc Grynberg, CEO d'Umicore, a déclaré : "An a beaucoup apporté au Conseil de direction depuis qu'elle a rejoint l'entreprise en 2018 et je tiens à la remercier pour sa contribution et son engagement. Elle nous a aidé à façonner nos feuilles de route en matière de technologie et de durabilité et à positionner Umicore au mieux pour répondre aux opportunités à moyen et long terme. Bien que je regrette de voir An partir, je suis sûr qu'elle s'épanouira également dans son nouveau rôle et je lui souhaite beaucoup de succès." 

An Steegen a commenté : "Je suis très reconnaissante du parcours passionnant que j’ai connu chez Umicore, ainsi que de toutes les personnes formidables avec lesquelles j'ai travaillé et pour ce que nous avons accompli ensemble. La décision de quitter Umicore n'a pas été facile et je tiens à remercier Marc, le Conseil de direction et le Conseil de surveillance pour leur confiance et leur soutien au cours des trois dernières années." 

Umicore kondigt een wijziging in de directieraad aan

Umicore kondigt aan dat An Steegen, Chief Technology Officer en lid van de directieraad, het bedrijf op 30 september 2021 zal verlaten om co-CEO te worden van Barco, een in België beursgenoteerd technologiebedrijf. De opvolging van An Steegen zal op een later tijdstip bekendgemaakt worden.        

Umicore CEO Marc Grynberg: "An heeft een belangrijke bijdrage geleverd aan onze directieraad sinds ze in 2018 het bedrijf vervoegde en ik wil haar bedanken voor haar inbreng en engagement. Ze heeft ons geholpen onze roadmaps inzake technologie- en duurzaamheid vorm te geven en Umicore goed te positioneren voor ontwikkelingen op middellange en lange termijn. Hoewel ik het betreur om An te zien vertrekken, ben ik er zeker van dat ze ook zal gedijen in haar nieuwe rol en wens ik haar veel succes."

An Steegen licht toe: "Ik ben heel dankbaar voor het prachtige traject bij Umicore, voor alle fantastische mensen met wie ik heb samengewerkt en voor wat we samen hebben bereikt. De beslissing om Umicore te verlaten was niet gemakkelijk en ik wil Marc, de directieraad en de raad van toezicht bedanken voor hun vertrouwen en steun de voorbije 3 jaar. "
