Umicore’s silicon anode materials are redefining battery performance. By replacing traditional graphite anodes, silicon enables higher energy density, faster charging, and longer battery lifecycles, all while contributing to a more sustainable circular battery value chain.
With a proven silicon carbon composite strategy, Umicore has entered into a strategic partnership agreement with Korea's HS Hyosung Advanced Materials to advance and fund the industrialization, commercialization and further development of its silicon-carbon composite anode materials for electric vehicle (EV) lithium-ion batteries.
As we continue to push the boundaries of battery technology, our silicon anodes will play a key role in powering the future of electric mobility.
