What you will be doing

The main responsibilities of the Regional Security Manager(RSM) are:

  • Manage the security setup at the site where the RSM is in charge of security, following the strategic planning and the implementation of security concepts, in line with the corporate security strategy and Target Oriented Model(TOM). Lead operational security across APAC sites in scope, implementing global security strategies, policies, and the Corporate Security TOM in alignment with local legislation and business needs. 
  • Conduct regular security risk assessment and audits, ensuring compliance with national regulations and internal standards; serve as primary point of contact for business units on security matters. 
  • Ensuring a secure supply chain by training employees and conduct audits. Organization of appropriate security measures and responsibility for the implementation of the corresponding specifications. 
  • Proposing and oversee security related projects in and across regional site thereby ensuring a harmonized and consistent approach of security within the regional sites in line with local legislation and corporate guidelines and TOM principles; assisting the local security responsible with the translation and implementation of global policies, guidelines and multi-site initiatives; leading projects to increase security awareness.  
  • Ensuring exchange of best practices across the sites within the region. 
  • Ensuring your up to date knowledge of the applicable security and data protection legislation within the region and inform & training site security responsible about relevant developments in line with group Security and DPO strategy.
  • Partner with cross- functional teams to define and implement emergency planning and response activities at regional level in case of serious security related threats and incidents.
  • Active member of the security ambassadors community including the Regional Security Managers network and the Corporate Security team and of the data protection ambassador community. 
  • Investigation and follow up on reported incidents after consultation with, or on request of the CSO or Corporate Security Manager together with Local Security Responsible. 

 

Who we are looking for

  • Master or bachelor degree - preferably with a technical background and an additional training security related (in Defence or Intelligence services) 
  • You have a 10-year work experience in a security related domain, preferable in a multi-country context
  • Experience in a high tech industrial environment is a plus.
  • Project management experience of at least 3 years in a technical domain.
  • Organizational and Technical Security management - an ASIS certification is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing risk management frameworks aligned with ISO 31000 principles; format training or certification (e.g. PECB ISO 31000 Risk Manager) is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of information security management system (ISMS) based on ISO/IEC 27001, particularly as it relates to information classification, physical security, and privacy and third-party data handling and creating awareness.
  • Familiarity with transportation and logistics security standards such as TAPA (Transported Asset Protection Association), including TSR or FSR requirements.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken and a good knowledge of Korean.
  • Travel abroad occationally.
