What you will be doing

As our Shipping/Receiving Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising day-to-day warehouse operations in our chemical manufacturing and distribution facility.  Specifically, this will include:

  • Developing and maintaining work instructions, policies, and procedures to facilitate safe, efficient, and compliant shipping and receiving operations;
  • Supervising a team of shipping/receiving personnel, including but not limited to, establishing work schedules, providing training, and managing performance expectations;
  • Working with carriers to schedule shipments and deliveries;
  • Partnering with customer service, production, and supply chain departments to meet customer needs; and,
  • Performing other duties as needed.

Who we are looking for

Our success is based on individuals who are ready to make the most of their skills and prepared to tackle any challenge they face.  As well as a high school diploma or equivalent, you should have: 

  • 5-10 years’ experience in a warehouse environment;
  • A minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience or proven aptitude for leading;
  • DOT, IMDG, IATA, and hazmat certification or ability to obtain certification;
  • Forklift experience;
  • Basic computer skills;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; and,
  • Ability to facilitate teamwork and lead by example.

Additional Information

This is a day shift position located at the Palm Commodities International, LLC facility in LaVergne, Tennessee.  This facility is a Tennessee Drug-Free Workplace, and pre-employment drug testing is required.
