Your Key Accountabilities

Job Purpose of this roleAs Commercial Manager Europe, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth, profitability, and market share for the EOM InfraRed Solutions business. Acting as a strategic partner between customers and internal teams, you will shape and execute commercial strategies, build strong customer relationships, and translate market insights into sustainable business opportunities.

 

Your Key Accountabilities

  • Drive revenue growth and profitability across the European region, owning the full commercial cycle from opportunity identification to contract closure.
  • Develop and execute robust sales plans aligned with strategic business objectives and market dynamics with a focus on managing existing business and account management.
  • Build, manage, and expand long-term customer relationships, acting as a trusted partner across complex, multi-site environments.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and define compelling customer value propositions to secure profitable business.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, R&D, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage sales performance through accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and KPI tracking.
  • Ensure strong understanding of production flows and cost drivers to optimize pricing, margins, and delivery commitments.
  • Support  and contribute to business development initiatives, including new product introductions, market expansion, and participation in industry events.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, internal processes, and regulatory requirements, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Actively contribute to a strong safety culture and ensure that business decisions consider safety implications.

 

Place of work will be the EOM site in Acigné (FR).

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a commercially driven and technically curious professional who combines strong business acumen with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Proven first experience in a B2B commercial or sales role in a manufacturing or technical environment; experience in optics or similar industries is a plus.
  • Outstanding business communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence both technical and commercial audiences.
  • Strong affinity with technical products, systems, and production environments, with a genuine interest in understanding and learning the manufacturing processes and production flows of the concerned EOM sites (particular in Acigne).
  • Solid analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial metrics, cost drivers, and market data to support decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales processes, negotiate contracts, and deliver sustainable growth.
  • Comfortable working in a matrix organization and collaborating across functions, cultures, and geographies.
  • Proactive, open-minded, and solution-oriented, with a strong drive to solve problems and continuously improve processes.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Fluent in English and French; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within Europe.
