Compact DNX GT Catalysts for Efficient SCR
Umicore’s DNX GT (Gas Turbine) catalysts are designed for selective catalytic reduction (SCR) installations especially for gas turbine applications, contributing to higher catalytic activity and lower pressure drop.
Based on a fiber‑reinforced vanadium–tungsten–titania catalyst and with a 0.3 mm wall, the DNX GT design supports efficient operation, enabling reduced catalyst volume requirements and improved performance.
The catalyst structure provides increased specific surface area and optimized wall utilization. The 20% boost in volume activity yields a corresponding reduction in required catalyst volume. Together with a 10% lower specific pressure drop, the DNX-GT catalysts offer a saving in overall pressure loss across the SCR catalyst in the order of 30% compared to the previous DNX® versions.
This supports reduced overall system pressure loss and faster heat-up during start-up, helping ensure rapid compliance and stable operation.
