Umicore sources nickel globally and within sustainable procurement guidelines, prioritizing ESG standards. Umicore has implemented a sustainable sourcing framework for nickel, lithium, and cobalt, ensuring that all nickel used in its operations meets strict ESG and financial criteria. 

By increasing the share of recycled nickel in its products, Umicore supports the European Union’s Critical Raw Materials Act and the broader goal of European industrial autonomy.
